As a director of my own small family, investment company, and also as a finance professional within the equity and debt funding business, I ran into some placement and funding challenges.
Following the sale of some commercial forestry and other assets, I needed to place cash capital within ABLs, whilst in my professional career attempting to secure debt and equity financing for some exciting scale-ups and start-ups.
During this time, I have realised the gap in funding requirements, and capital deployment in the £3-50m range for exciting opportunities, that are likely to secure for VCs, but not large enough for traditional banks.
Having a number of friends as successfully exited entrepreneurs, and working with wealth management company as myself, I have struggled with the poorly connected market between a smaller end of private money and quality scale-up requirements.
As such, I created WLH-ABS in order to provide structured solutions for a network of high quality investors to deploy intelligent investments.
